Sunscreening/Maintenance walkways

General details:
Sunscreening constructions often combine the functions of sunscreening and maintenance walkways. In many buildings with large glass fronts, it is necessary to cool the premises. The gratings may constitute a good supplement to fulfil this function.
Grating types:
Elefant® grating type N is the most common grating for sunscreening as it screens the sun in all directions. Grating types NP & SP may also be used if the grating span is parallel to the building.
Mesh sizes:
The mesh size is adapted individually for each project, but the best sunscreening effect is obtained if the mesh size in the bearing direction (parallel to the building) does not exceed the grating height.
Fitting methods:
We recommend attaching the gratings to the construction with welded-in blocks or holes in the edge iron, as dismountable retainer clamps may loosen due to the wind load. |
