Louvre (Ventilation) gratings consist of vertical bars in height (bearing bars) and angled horizontal bars at right angles to the vertical bars. (called louvre bars).
For open front louvre gratings, the next louvre bar starts at the level under the preceding louvre bar (see figure). This design ensures a free view between the bars. This type is therefore ideal if a large airflow through the grating is required whilst offering excellent diffusion properties at the same time.
